Description

You will be welcomed at your arrival at Baltra airport and transported to the harbor of Puerto Ayora. A speedboat will take you to Isabela Island, where you’ll visit the Flamingo lagoon and go snorkeling in Los Tuneles. Besides, you can choose an optional self-guided snorkeling activity in Concha Perla. Back on Santa Cruz Island, you will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, learn more about his Theory of Evolution and about the history and ecosystems of Galapagos. You’ll have a closer look at the giant Galapagos tortoises and learn about the famous tortoise Lonesome George, who died in 2012 and was the last one of his species. During a day trip you will visit Santa Fe, which is a small island in the center of the Galapagos archipelago.

Day 1 (L):
Arrive at the Baltra (GPS) airport and meet your English speaking guide who will take you to the port of Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. Enjoy lunch before heading to Isabela Island at 2pm via the public speedboat (capacity of the boat 24 people). The ride has a duration of 3-hours and can be bumpy. It is recommended you prepare yourself with motion sickness pills and a waterproof jacket.

Day 2 (B, S):
Early in the morning, you will go on a 30 to 40 minute boat ride from Puerto Villamil.  You will explore the brilliant scenery in Los Tuneles which is considered the most beautiful place to snorkel in Isabela Island. Around the Los Tuneles you will find a highly contrasted colour for snorkeling with clear, calm water.Besides, you can find species feeding such as tortoises, swimming iguanas, sea lions, manta rays, Galapagos penguins, lobsters, and sea snakes.  The departure time is between 7:00 AM and 11:30 AM and depends on availability and National Park regulations.

Day 3 (B, L)
At 6am board the public speedboat to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island (duration about 2,5 hours). After breakfast you will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, which is home to world-famous Galapagos tortoises ranging from tiny hatchlings to enormous adults. After lunch you will do the Bay Tour to visit the Loberia, next you will navigate for about 15 minutes to arrive at Punta Camaño Islet. Here you will snorkel with sea lions and a large variety of fish.

Day 4 (B, L):
On your fourth day, you will travel to Santa Fe Island. You will start your day with a snorkeling activity where you can see the underwater wildlife. After snorkeling you will observe colonies of sea lions, blue footed boobies, and marine iguanas. You'll have lunch on the island and then you will go back to Santa Cruz where you will have time to relax.

Day 5 (B, L):
After breakfast, you will travel to Baltra Airport, but on the way, you will stop by The Twin craters, which are similar to craters, but formed by a collapse of the Earth because of the lava flows that passed below it. The tour will end upon the arrival to the airport where you will depart to Quito or Guayaquil.
