Ball State University basketball fans have learned that the Central American Conference tournament will have fans in the stands. The Big Ten has announced that all sports events, including basketball, football, baseball, softball, men's and women's basketball and football, as well as baseball and basketball games, will have fans starting March 12, according to a news release.
Franklin College says it will begin online courses on March 18, and Butler University is telling students that classes will be online starting August 24, according to a university news release.
Indiana University says the fall semester will have a customized calendar and will be open to all students, according to a university press release. Indiana University has said that for the first time in more than a decade, fall semesters will have to adjust the calendar and its opening. Indianapolis, Indiana State University, the University of Indianapolis and the Indiana College of Science and Technology have announced that the fall semester will have an adjustment calendar.
Indiana will begin its first week of the fall semester on May 18, with the exception of Cass County, with the first day of classes on June 1. Indiana enters its second week of the spring semester (excluding Cass County) on May 18, its third week on July 1, and its fourth week at the end of July.
The state will test the Hoosiers at 20 locations and increase the number of locations to 50 this week. Fairbanks begins its second week of the spring semester on May 18, with the exception of Cass County, on June 1. The state has begun testing Hoosiers at more than 20 locations, expanding this week to more than 50, and the first day of classes on July 1, 2017. The state also began testing Hoosiers at 20 sites on April 20, 2015, before expanding it to about 50 sites next week and then 100 by the end of July.
Indiana officials say they will open COVID-19 tests to more Hoosiers with expanded criteria. ISDH said it would launch an antibody test trial for Hooiers, and thousands of residents were randomly selected to participate in the trial.
Some of the products that are accepted are mercury - with devices, fluorescent CFL lamps and other chemicals found in the home. White goods or other metal-containing items can also be recycled if they are taken to the local recycling yard. The pick-up times are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 12 am to 4 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm and 5 pm. Chemicals can be removed from household chemicals at the Indiana Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) facility.
The free collection of hazardous household waste is available to all Jackson County residents Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Batteries can also be collected at the local recycling centre at the same times as household waste.

Seymour notes two bridges across the Ohio River, one connecting Indianapolis to Jeffersonville and the other crossing downtown. Both were built in the 1840s, and Seymour notes that one of them connects Indianapolis with the Indiana State Police and one with the Indianapolis Fire Department. Meedy and Shields persuaded John Seymour to build on his land and in return gave him the name of the town.
